- Comments: "A young bird was seen just before the lighthouse, traveling from the slave huts. It was dark in color, with head and wings appearing blackish, with white speckling on the wings and the white leading edge to the wings visible while seated. Tern-like in shape and size, appearing long-winged and lighter in color under the wings. It spent most of the time on the ground in amongst rocks but would fly a short distance when approached (c10m) and then sit again. At first, I thought it had a problem with one of its wings, but we were unable to catch it and it was able to fly short distances. Photo included."

- Comments: "Saw this bird visiting the bird bath in the garden for drinking and taking a bath. It was a small warbler, mostly brown, pale yellow chest, and a warbler bill. It had double white wing bars and white eye ring. I was able to observe it for several minutes before it took off. Unfortunately no pictures."

- Comments: "This bird was seen in a mixed shorebird grouping, including 12 Short-billed Dowitchers which were in rough pairings of two. This one was more on its own, and when it flew deeper into the salina, I heard a "keeeee" call. Before it flew deeper into the salina, it walked past two of the Short-billed Dowitchers, and it might have appeared that the bill was slightly longer, but I am not sure. Salina di Vliet is currently filled with rainwater."
